Spooky Peanut Butter & Chocolate Halloween Bark

Spooky Peanut Butter & Chocolate Halloween Bark

It's spooky season, friends! I don't know about you, but I feel like especially since I've had kids, Halloween is more fun. We don't do anything super scary over here, but I like adding some little spooky treats and decor every now and again.

Every year for the past few years, I've made some delicious chocolate Halloween bark and gifted it to neighbors and teachers. Just put it in a cellophane bag with cute ribbon or stuff it inside a festive mug (shameless plug: we are launching a Halloween mug soon that will be perfect with some Halloween bark inside!). It's so quick and easy and my kiddos also love it so it's really a win all around.

Here are the ingredients you need:

The super simple steps are below!

Step 1 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (preferably one with a lip around the edge!).

Step 2 - Pour the dark chocolate chips and peanut butter chips in two separate bowls. Melt them in the microwave (one at a time!) by heating for 30 seconds at a time. Stir in between each time until the chips are completely melted.

Step 3 - Pour the dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly with a knife. I also like to hit the pan against the counter to smooth it out a bit.

Step 4 - Next, dollop the melted peanut butter chips onto the dark chocolate. Using a knife, gently swirl the peanut butter into the chocolate to create some fun swirly designs. You can hit the pan against the counter again to smooth it out.

Step 5 - Sprinkle your sprinkles all over the top. I covered my peanut butter/chocolate almost completely, but you can do whatever you want! Next place the kit kat and eyeballs all over the chocolate however you like.

Step 6 - Place in the refrigerator for a couple of hours or until completely solid. Once it has hardened completely, take it out of the fridge and using a sharp knife, cut it into chunks.

Step 7 - Package up for gifting or enjoy for yourself!
